You tell him! You tell him I’m coming! Tell him I’m fucking coming!
On occasion, I’ll have a theme to my warm-up sketches, so I had to round off last week’s drawings (Walker and Carter) and make it a nice, round Triptych of Teeth-Kickers (With Six Letter Names, Apparently) with this last one of Terence Stamp in THE LIMEY. In addition to being my Favorite Parker Movie That Isn’t Actually Parker, it’s my favorite Stamp movie (that isn’t BOWFINGER), one of my favorite Steven Soderbergh movies, and easily my favorite DVD commentary (a conversation between Soderbergh and screenwriter Lem Dobb. Trust me, it’s amazing).
This drawing is from the end of the movie’s signature scene. The highlight for me is the way Stamp rises into the shot after being thrown to the ground like someone unseen force is yanking him up by the back of his jacket and compelling him back into action.
